One of Ten

Thursday, 24th July 2014, is the first day of the ten-day Eid Al Fitr holiday in Oman. For some sectors, at least. Lucky you, guys. I am still on annual leave from work and thus stayed up until roughly 7 AM being online and watching Bellator MMA on OSN. Spent most of my time thinking, though, about finding a new job on or before the end of September this year. Here are my options: . 1. Fitness #1 I really want to work for this company. Benefits and pay are all very good, even if I come in under contractor status. Spoke with the lady running the committee this morning; budget might be an issue in terms of bringing in new staff. 2. Fitness #2 They offered me a full-time job before. Three times, at least, by each of the head honchos since they opened in 2012. They still have openings until now. 3. Jobless Abroad

Yesterday afternoon, I was informed that my job will be wrapping up end of September 2014 due to redundancy and budget issues. It's difficult to quantify and even qualify my feelings. Needless to say, less than an hour later, I am already looking for a new job. Hopefully in the health and fitness industry, where I can train and practice freely in various fitness programmes that I have learned to love so much. Just a bit concerned if I can find a decent job given such a short time frame. I have financial responsibilities and this is my primary consideration.

Welcome

This is the blog of Shi. I have been blogging for many years, but I have not been active for a while. My blogs have all been offline for a couple of years now. I am going back online via this blog to document my thoughts, ideas and experiences. This time, I will just be "Shi." No muss, no fuss. I am currently experiencing a major crossroads in my life and feel that now is the time to get things straight in my head by writing them all down. I do hope you will enjoy following my blog.
